WEDDING FILMS
I specialize in capturing the authentic emotions and moments that make your celebration truly unique. Below is a selection of films from my portfolio, each featuring songs chosen by the couple. The runtime of each film is tailored to the couple's preferences, and the style—whether organic color, black and white, or Super 8—is also determined by their choices. Links to my complete portfolio can be found at the bottom of this page.
Nicole & Kevin's Wedding Film
This wedding took place at the stunning Tivoli Villa in Fallbrook, CA. Nestled among olive groves and mountain views. Nicole and Kevin were laid back and loved every moment of their wedding day, making my job as a videographer effortless. From their top eight songs, I wove three into the film, using instrumentals to highlight heartfelt moments without overpowering their vows. With natural colors and an upbeat vibe, this film radiates their love.
From the Couple:
"Ryans work is absolutely amazing! Timeless in a way that I was specifically seeking out. I will forever be recommending him and his exceptional work to any and all of my engaged friends!"
Courtney & Patrick's Wedding Film
This wedding took place at the picturesque Rancho Bernardo Inn, surrounded by nature, with a first kiss under a dreamlike floral arch. Courtney and Patrick were laid back, wearing smiles from start to finish. As a "Swifty" at heart, Courtney’s love for Taylor Swift naturally influenced their film score, which features one of their favorite songs from the artist. I remixed two versions of the song to seamlessly flow with the spoken parts of their wedding day. The couple preferred natural colors and a documentary yet cinematic style—something couples have come to love about my work.
From the Couple:
"Besides being an amazing videographer, Ryan is also an incredibly easygoing and kind person to work with! When we requested a copy of the raw video footage files, Ryan went above and beyond by ordering a hard drive on our behalf and mailing the loaded drive to us. Thank you, Ryan, for capturing our best day ever!"
Andrew & Charmaine's Wedding Film
This elegant wedding took place at the historic Guild Hotel in downtown San Diego. The overcast skies accentuated the film's colors, showcasing the breathtaking white floral details and the elegance of the historic venue. Charmaine envisioned a specific song for the film: The Kingdom Choir's rendition of "Stand by Me." This profoundly beautiful arrangement emerged as a cornerstone of the film, inspiring shots that mirrored its grandeur. The couple's heartfelt moments truly brought the film to life.
From the Couple:
"Honestly, I can't stop watching our wedding highlight film! On the day of the wedding, Ryan showed up ready to rock—he's a super chill guy who collaborated seamlessly with our photographer. He even used his muscles to move furniture around and create the perfect setup. The editing was amazing, and he perfectly mixed in the songs we wanted! A friend referred me to Ryan, and I was so glad we decided to book him!"
Sierra & Connor's Wedding Film
A San Diego wedding captured at Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church in La Jolla for the ceremony and the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club for the reception. The couple wanted a Super 8 film vibe, so I digitally emulated that classic look, blending it with vivid modern footage. They chose the music, which I remixed to score their film, creating a timeless San Diego wedding keepsake.
From the Couple:
"Ryan is incredibly talented, responsive, and fun to work with. During our initial meeting he thoughtfully described his style and took note of our vision for the film. He accommodated original and super8 styles and matched little moments with specific song lyrics. I can’t get over how well he curated our film - we’ll truly cherish it forever. The day went by SO fast and we’re so thankful to have an hour+ of footage to look back on for years to come. Working with Ryan is a must!!!"
Marissa & Sachin's Wedding Film
This San Diego wedding film, shot over 12 hours across two days, blends a traditional Hindu ceremony at a private residence with a heartfelt ceremony at Scripps Seaside Forum. Set to music chosen by the couple, I couldn’t be happier with this film.
From the Couple:
"This is BEYOND amazing! Ryan, we are absolutely blown away by what you put together… you captured the entire ethos of our wedding by blending our special days, cultures, and memories seamlessly. We are so so grateful to you for being such an awesome person to work with, and for also giving our wedding film much love and care. We will be watching your film (and all the raw footage) many times over in the next few weeks, and in the years to come. I know that whenever we do, we’ll be instantly transported to the most incredible moments in our lives. Thank you"
Mary & Alexander's Wedding Film
This San Diego wedding film captures an intimate ceremony at Light Church in Encinitas, CA. and a reception party to follow at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Encinitas. Set to a song deeply meaningful to the couple, the film showcases their genuine presence and connection throughout the day.
From the Couple:
"Wow, Obsessed! If you are on the fence about getting a videographer, please go and watch Ryan's videos and hire him as your videographer. He captured our day perfectly and we can't thank him enough. I personally loved the fact that his package included the raw footage so you can re-watch the whole wedding especially the speeches again! Ryan is very professional, responsive, and easygoing! He captured all of the moments without the camera being in your face and gave guidance when he wanted a particular shot. We look forward to watching these videos over the years and will continue to recommend him to friends and family!"
Hanna & Richard's Wedding Film
This wedding took place cliffside at the Wedding Bowl at Cuvier Park, followed by a celebration at the Museum of Contemporary Art just across the street in La Jolla. The film captures an elegant blend of art and love, with natural color and songs thoughtfully selected by the couple, including a touching live performance by Hanna's brother as she walked down the aisle.
From the Couple:
"Ryan has a gift of creating wedding videos that take people back to how they felt during their special day. When I watch Ryan's video of our wedding, I am grateful that I not only get to remember all the important moments of the day through his work, but also re-live how I felt in each moment. I love the attention to detail that Ryan shows through his work: his perfectly timed music edits is just one small evidence to how much care he puts to each video he creates."
